Both Keith Dennis and his wife Janet established the Foundation back in 2012 after they both agreed that it would be a good idea to ask their wedding guests to donate to a cricket foundation rather than receiving wedding gifts. Janet said, "We decided to provide funds for young cricketers to enable them to represent Jersey in local and international cricket, over the possibility of receiving 10 toasters!"...

Janet along with David Gorman the Chairman of the Keith Dennis Young Cricketers Foundation have continued running and supporting the foundation after KD passed away back in 2014, Janet said, "it was KD's wish that every child should have the opportunity of friendship, competition and all the team benefits that are derived from the wonderful game of cricket. The Foundation supports cases of hardship for young cricketers and also promotes the use of cricket equipment and coaching in the Island’s Primary and Secondary schools, in the hope that children of all ages have the opportunity to experience and enjoy the spirit of cricket".
Primary schools and extra-curricular cricket clubs have benefited from the foundation’s input, with ‘Cricket Factory’ equipment being donated to schools programs, and there has also been a helping hand given to those selected to represent the Jersey Cricket Board away from home.

Where is Poppi? is linked to the Keith Dennis Charity Foundation which helps youngsters take up cricket in Jersey, where KD believed passionately that cricket was not just a sport but an activity open to all genders and nationalities who could bond and learn skills that would take them through life. An ethos that carries on today through the Foundation, for which he would be proud.
