Children's Book Corner
Untold Stories
"I authored these children's books in collaboration with my grandchildren, the first one, 'Where is Poppi,' was written to help adults address delicate subjects when children have questions about death following the loss of family members or friends. The inspiration for the second book, 'The Story of Harry the Giraffe Hog,' stemmed from a conversation with my grandson, Sam, about being bigger or smaller than others and how this can change what we see.
All proceeds from book donations will directly support the Keith Dennis Young Cricketers Foundation. We kindly request that you cover, at the very least, the postage and packaging costs. To place an order, please provide your contact details, name, and address via our "Contact Page".
Thank you.

‘Where is Poppi?’ has been created in homage to some special people who have passed away. This is a journey through the reactions and reflections from children asking questions of a subject that is rarely spoken of. It is hoped that this book will in some small way stimulate children into thinking about those they have lost. Proceeds from the book will go to The Keith Dennis Foundation to support and encourage children to participate in the great game of cricket - I hope you will SUPPORT us in this journey. INTRODUCTION
The idea for this book came to me during a snuggle.
My grandson, Sam aged eight is the third child of four and so much smaller and two of his siblings.
We were talking about being bigger or smaller than others and how this change what we see.
We started talking about different animals, and Sam started giggling when he decided that the only thing a hedgehog would be able to see of a giraffe would be its tummy, or, well, it’s bottom!
As we sat, cuddling and laughing, his younger sister Freya, age five, came in tucked up, and she two became very excited, laughing so much… and then adding her ideas… it was hilarious…
Then the words of this book started appearing in my head. This book is, therefore, for Sam, Freya and their siblings you make me laugh and make my brain create.
